Happy Days Are Here Again...


In 1932, Democratic Presidential candidate Franklin Delano Roosevelt used the song Happy Days Are Here Again as a last minute substitution at a campaign rally. FDR beat incumbent Herbert Hoover in a landslide and was re-elected an unprecedented (and barring a Constitutional Amendment, never to be repeated) three times. The song went on to become the unofficial anthem of the Democratic Party.

This morning it seems like the perfect choice of song to sing along with Mitch Miller and the Gang...
